Today, I want to share how I earned the Upwork Rising Talent badge in a relatively short time. Although I was still new to Upwork, I reached it quickly by sticking to a few important principles: First, I made sure my profile clearly highlighted my main skills and what I could actually deliver. Instead of using vague wording, I emphasized real experience in AI systems, automation, and backend development. Second, I only submitted proposals for projects I truly felt confident I could complete. Rather than mass applying, I focused on tailored proposals that spoke directly to the client’s needs. Third, I kept my communication straightforward, clear, and professional. I wanted clients to know exactly what I would provide, how I would handle it, and when they could expect the work to be done. Finally, I approached every application as a real business opportunity, not just another job bid. That mindset helped me stay consistent and committed, even with smaller tasks. Earning Rising Talent is not about luck — it is about clarity, consistency, and building trust from the very beginning. I hope this is useful for anyone currently working on Upwork.
