YouTube down? More than 300K users report outage

(KRON) — More than 300,000 YouTube users are reporting issues with the video streaming platform on Wednesday evening, according to Downdetector.

As of 5 p.m., 293,240 users are reporting an outage with the app. At 4:32 p.m., as many as 327,548 users reported problems with accessing YouTube, according to Downdetector.

“If you’re not able to play videos on YouTube right now — we’re on it! Thanks for your patience, and you can follow along here for updates,” YouTube wrote in a social media post.

YouTube posted on its community page around 5 p.m. that it is aware of the outage. The video platform posted on X at 5:34 p.m. that the issue “has been fixed.”

The outage affected YouTube, YouTube Music and YouTube TV, the company said.

YouTube is headquartered in San Bruno.
