
A state investigation found an Olmsted County school district “failed to meet state requirements for documenting credit card purchases,” KTTC reports. “According to the Office of the State Auditor (OSA), it received reports of [Byron Public Schools] credit card purchases that lacked receipts … OSA found 30% of credit card purchases made during that time period did not have documentation, accounting for close to $60,000.“
Tribal nations and the state could work out cannabis tax agreements in coming years, MPR News writes, adding that tribes will benefit from the collection of state taxes in time. “The Minnesota Department of Revenue is tasked with negotiating tax agreements. Those tax agreements will share revenue between a tribe and the state and will offset the costs of tribes regulating cannabis.” A Department of Revenue spokesperson told MPR the agency is not actively negotiating tribal cannabis tax agreements right now.
A free health fair in Grand Rapids will provide patients the chance to take advantage of no cost screenings and assessments. KAXE says “the community is invited to a free health fair at the Itasca County Family YMCA Active Living Center from 2-5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24. … Several screenings and assessments will be available, including ones for lipids and blood glucose, blood pressure, balance and grip strength, bone density, hearing and memory.”
