SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Saratoga Springs Department of Public Works announced a new leaf pickup schedule for fall. The updated city plan goes into effect on September 29.
Residents will have their lawn debris collected between one of two days during the week depending on their section of the city, crew availability, and weather conditions. Leaf pickups will adhere to the following schedule and map:
- Outer West, Zone 1: Monday or Tuesday
- Outer West, Zone 2: Tuesday or Wednesday
- Outer West, Zone 3: Wednesday or Thursday
- Outer West, Zone 4: Thursday or Friday
- Inner West, Zone 1: Monday or Tuesday
- Inner West, Zone 2: Tuesday or Wednesday
- Inner West, Zone 3: Wednesday or Thursday
- Inner West, Zone 4: Thursday or Friday
- Inner East, Zone 1: Monday or Tuesday
- Inner East, Zone 2: Tuesday or Wednesday
- Inner East, Zone 3: Wednesday or Thursday
- Inner East, Zone 4: Thursday or Friday
- Outer East, Zone 1: Monday or Tuesday
- Outer East, Zone 2: Tuesday or Wednesday
- Outer East, Zone 3: Wednesday or Thursday
- Outer East, Zone 4: Thursday or Friday
“Providing a schedule for when DPW will be coming through your neighborhood to pickup lawn debris is a step in the right direction to assist residents with planning their fall property cleanup,” said Saratoga Springs Commissioner of Public Works Chuck Marshall. “Since this is the first year, we expect that there will need to be adjustments during the heaviest part of leaf pickup. So we’ll be announcing updates via social media and the City website when changes are necessary.”
