Description:
The Mortgage Loan Underwriter evaluates credit and property risks for Conventional, FHA, and Rural Development loans from affiliated banks and correspondent lenders.
- Performs a preliminary and final review of FHA, Rural Development, Conventional, VA and IFA applications for Heritage and Alliance loan applications.
- Establish property values and appraisal analysis for HUD, VA, USDA and Conventional loans.
- Reviews loan files for compliance with investor guidelines.
- Follow IBMC loan review and quality control guidelines as files are reviewed.
Requirements:
Required Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Required Work Experience: Minimum 5 years Conventional, FHA, USDA and VA Underwriting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Has actively been Underwriting loans in past 12 months.
Specialized Training: Appraisal or underwriting training, at least 1 Government Loan Program designation (FHA Direct Endorsement, VA Lapp Authority).
