Jamal Murray participating in NBA 3-point contest at All-Star weekend

Nuggets guard Jamal Murray has agreed to compete in the NBA 3-point contest at All-Star weekend next Saturday, the league announced. Murray will already be at the festivities in Los Angeles, making his first career All-Star appearance alongside Nuggets teammate Nikola Jokic. Five players who were voted into the All-Stars Game are among the eight participants in the 3-point contest. Murray, who’s 43.2% from outside the arc this season, will be up against Devin Booker, Donovan Mitchell, Tyrese Maxey, Norman Powell, Damian Lillard, Kon Knueppel and Bobby Portis. Lillard, who has won the competition twice, was a surprise inclusion. He’s out for the year and rehabbing from a torn Achilles tendon.
