Job Description Summary
The Evaluation Manager is responsible for supporting ImpactED’s research and evaluation projects, internal evaluation for our training programs, and overall operations. Primary responsibilities include collecting data, conducting analysis and report writing, monitoring program and session quality, and supporting operational and grant reporting efforts. The Evaluation Manager works collaboratively with ImpactED staff and graduate fellows to carry out position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Evaluation Management

  • Manage evaluation project timelines and tasks (e.g., develop and monitor Smartsheet project plans)
  • Coordinate client and internal team meetings (e.g., develop agendas, support with meeting facilitation, review and send meeting notes)
  • Coordinate logistics for data collection activities on external evaluation projects (e.g., focus group and interview recruitment, programming and administering surveys in Qualtrics)
  • Supervise and train graduate research and evaluation fellows (e.g., regularly check in to provide needed support, develop training materials, lead small group and individual trainings)

Research & Evaluation Support

  • Support development of customized evaluation strategy documents that can be used to inform ongoing evaluation and learning (e.g., logic models, theories of change, evaluation plans)
  • Support development of instruments (e.g., surveys, focus group and interview protocols) and manage the pre-testing process
  • Facilitate focus groups and interviews with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data from interviews and focus groups
  • Support development of evaluation reports, including design of data visualizations

Internal Evaluation Support

  • Lead internal evaluation efforts for training programs and events (e.g., uploading data to PowerBI, drafting post session memos to reflect learnings)
  • Manage internal evaluation project timelines and tasks (e.g., develop and monitor Smartsheet project plans)
  • Support grant management and reporting efforts

Strategy, Marketing & Operations

  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement annual strategy objectives
  • Support training logistics for virtual events (as needed)
  • Participate in weekly team meetings, regular data debriefs and after-action reviews, and quarterly strategy meetings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience required. Master’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage shifting priorities on projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and also as a member of a collaborative team, communicating effectively and proactively about deadlines and needed support
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in online databases and platforms (e.g., Google suite, Qualtrics, PowerBI, Salesforce)
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SAS, Stata, R)
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
