Essen Bakery permanently closes its two locations months after workers say they were kept in the dark through 'pause'

Essen Bakery has permanently closed its two locations in South Philly and Norris Square after initially taking a ‘pause’ on May 31. Employees say owners Brad and Tova du Plessis ghosted them over the summer.
