A driver is believed to have struck a 92-year-old man in Ventnor, New Jersey on Thursday, and then fled the scene, police said.
And now, officials are hoping the public can help track down the vehicle and driver involved in the crash.
On Monday, police in Ventnor, New Jersey, released an image of the vehicle believed to have been involved in the incident.
According to police, the crash happened at about 6:16 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, when officers investigating a report of a person struck by a vehicle, found a 92-year-old man, from Ventnor, laying in the roadway at the intersection of Ventnor and Newport avenues.
The man, officials said, had suffered serious injuries and he was taken to a nearby hospital.
However, police did not immediately detail the victim’s condition.
Police believe the victim was struck by a white Volvo SUV, likely a model XC40, that fled the scene of the crash.
The vehicle, officials said, likely sustained front passenger side damage in the crash.
Police are asking anyone who could help provide information on this vehicle or its driver.
