Their defense was exceptional, holding BYU to 30.9% from the floor, and they dominated the glass with a 50-26 advantage. Three stars: 1. CU’s Anaelle Dutat: Scored a career-high 19 points, along with 10 points, three assists and three steals. 2. CU’s Jade Masogayo: Finished with 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting, as well as eight rebounds. 3. CU’s Desiree Wooten: Scored 16 points, and posted seven assists, six rebounds and three steals. What might have impressed head coach JR Payne the most, however, was the number of times her players dove to the floor or fought for rebounds during a 76-46 rout of BYU at the CU Events Center. “Our team continues to show that we have tremendous balance and a tremendous fight,” Payne said. “Like, every single player that played I think hit the floor at some point on purpose; like, actually dove on the floor to save a ball or get a rebound or what have you.” For 40 minutes, the Buffs dominated and actually had a chance to coast to the finish line.
