
Schneider Electric is now certified under the National Electrical Manufacturers Association’s (NEMA) Make It American domestic content certification program. The news comes as Schneider makes a $700 million investment in domestic manufacturing. The move is also significant as electricity demand amps up due to the proliferation of artificial intelligence (AI) data centers. The milestone also comes as NEMA marks the one-year anniversary of the program. Organizations that are certified under NEMA’s Make It American program undergo expert-led third-party audits to assess their conformance with the supply chain evaluation process standard and verify the application of product-specific criteria. Now that Schneider is Make It American-certified, it is part of a registry of certified companies, making it easier for contractors to locate compliant-products. The company’s Fairfield, Ohio, facility became one of the first in the country to be awarded the certification in May 2025. Courtesy: NEMA More than 20 of Schneider’s U.S. facilities are certified and listed on NEMA’s Build America, Buy America (BABA) registry.
