While some will be out shopping for Black Friday, others will be parked on the couch watching the Chicago Bears vs. The Philadelphia Eagles.
The game mark the Bears’ first regular season game on a Friday in nearly 60 years. The team has won four in a row and lead the NFC North, while the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles sit atop the NFC East.
“It’s a short week. This will be a different challenge here for our players. Just haven’t had one five-day span like this,” Bears head coach Ben Johnson said Monday. “And so it’ll be a race to get our bodies feeling as good as we possibly can, get the game plan downloaded … I know our coaches are working hard right now, putting in some good plays together and, good thoughts together so that we can execute and play fast at a high level against a really good football team here on the road. So, excited about that challenge.”
Once the Black Friday game wraps up, the Bears will head to Green Bay to face the Packers on Dec. 7.
