Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker announced on Monday Anton Moore as the city’s first Executive Director of Neighborhood and Community Action Centers.
The action centers have been one of Parker’s initiatives as mayor and are meant as neighborhood city halls where residents can seek help for city-related services, such as filing a complaint or starting a business.
Moore has led Unity in the Community, an antiviolence group that has worked to help young people in Philadelphia.
“We’re going to work, we’re going to have fun and we’re going to provide the services the City of Philadelphia deserves,” Moore said at a press conference on Monday.
There are 10 action centers, one for each council district in Philadelphia. A full list is here.
