Tara Reid claims she was drugged in Chicago-area bar: report

“American Pie” star Tara Reid reportedly claims she was drugged in a Chicago-area bar over the weekend.

Video obtained by TMZ shows the 50-year-old New Jersey native seemingly struggle to remain lucid as rescue workers wheel her out of a hotel lounge in Rosemont, Ill., Sunday morning.

Reid told TMZ she ordered a glass of wine, then stepped outside to smoke a cigarette with a person she met in the lobby when someone allegedly slipped her a mickey. She added that she recalled a napkin being on top of her drink when she returned, though she didn’t place one there.

According to Reid, the next thing she remembered is being in a hospital.

Cops reportedly said they responded to a call about a “sick person” at Reid’s hotel around 12:30 a.m. and coordinated with security staffers in the bar area.

Police officers told TMZ they knew nothing about an alleged “drugging,” and no such report was filed.

One witness said before paramedics arrived, Reid was shouting about being an actress.

“You don’t know who I am,” she allegedly screamed. “I am famous.”

Reid has a history of alcohol abuse that includes a 2008 stay in a rehabilitation program, according to People.

“She becomes erratic and is a completely different person when she’s intoxicated, which is hard for people close to her to watch,” a source told the celebrity magazine at the time.

Reid indicated to People that she’d had her share of partying by that point and called herself a “social drinker.”

After Sunday’s incident, she told TMZ she felt fortunate not to have been sexually assaulted.
