Two men and a woman from the East Coast were arrested for a robbery that happened after a crash in Burbank last week.
According to the Burbank Police Department, officers responded to a crash on Nov. 16 at around 10:45 p.m. on Third Street and Delaware Road.
The victims informed police that they were approached by two men who were not involved in the crash.
Police said the two men engaged in conversation with the victims before forcibly taking a gold necklace from one of them, resulting in a physical altercation.
After robbing the victims, the men headed toward an SUV that was driven by a woman.
Detectives reviewed surveillance video and used technology to identify the suspect vehicle, which was spotted by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department three days later on Nov. 19.
Deputies detained the two men and the woman and searched the vehicle where they say they found the stolen property as well as clothing linked to the incident, and additional suspected stolen property.
Deputies detained 31-year-old Rhode Island resident Brenda Ramirez Ohlmann and 31-year-old Victor Gabriel Correa De Los Santos and 33-year-old Manuel Milciades Felipe Medina, both from New York, police said.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office charged the three suspects with conspiracy to commit robbery and the robbery itself, both felonies.
Details on the initial crash before the victims were robbed were not immediately available.
